1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Underwater Adventure Seekers Foundation website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Use of Our Website
You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not use the site in any way that could damage, disable, overload, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use. Unauthorized attempts to access systems or information are prohibited.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the UAS Divers Foundation name — is the property of the Underwater Adventure Seekers Foundation or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without prior written permission.
4. Donations
Donations to the UAS Divers Foundation are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. By making a donation, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. We reserve the right to refuse or return any donation at our discretion.
5. Programs & Scholarships
Participation in our programs and scholarships is subject to eligibility requirements and selection criteria, which may change at any time. Acceptance into a program does not guarantee certification, placement, or any specific outcome. The Foundation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue programs at any time.
6. User Content
If you submit stories, photos, or other content to us, you grant the Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for educational, promotional, and mission-related purposes. You confirm that you hold the rights to any content you submit.
7. SMS Messaging Program
By opting into our SMS program, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from the UAS Divers Foundation at the mobile number you provide. Our SMS program operates under A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) carrier registration. Message frequency varies and standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for support. You confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided and are at least 18 years of age (or have parental consent). Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any donation, purchase, or program participation.
8. Acceptable Use of SMS
You agree not to use our SMS program to send unsolicited messages to us, to transmit unlawful or harassing content, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the messaging platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate SMS service to any number that violates these terms, submits an invalid number, or is associated with abuse, fraud, or carrier complaints.
9. Carrier Disclaimers & Delivery
SMS messages are delivered through participating U.S. wireless carriers and are subject to carrier filtering, network availability, and routing limitations. The Foundation is not liable for delayed, mis-delivered, or undelivered messages, or for messages blocked by a carrier. You are responsible for maintaining an accurate mobile number and for any carrier-imposed charges. If you change or deactivate your mobile number, you must opt out and re-opt in with the new number.
10. Disclaimers
Our website and content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Scuba diving and underwater activities carry inherent risks; participants in our programs are responsible for following safety protocols and completing required training. The Foundation is not liable for injuries or losses arising from such activities.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Underwater Adventure Seekers Foundation and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, SMS program, or participation in our programs.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the website or SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
