Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to the Underwater Adventure Seekers Foundation. This policy explains what we collect and how we protect it.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, mailing address, mobile phone number, and donation details when you sign up for our newsletter, register for programs, make a donation, or contact us. We may also collect limited usage data about how you interact with our website.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process donations, send mission updates and event invitations, respond to inquiries, administer scholarships and programs, and improve our website and services. With your express opt-in consent, we may also send you recurring SMS text messages about events, deadlines, and mission updates. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Sharing of Information

We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate (such as payment processors, email platforms, and SMS messaging providers), when required by law, or with your explicit consent. For our SMS program, your mobile number and message data may be shared with mobile carriers and our texting platform as required to deliver messages and comply with A2P 10DLC carrier registration. Any partner is bound by confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Analytics

Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand traffic patterns and improve the user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some site functionality.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You may also unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in our emails. For SMS messages, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message (see the SMS Messaging section below).

7. Children's Privacy

Our programs may serve minors, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent. Scholarship applicants under 18 require a parent or guardian's involvement. SMS messaging is intended for users 18 and older; by opting in you confirm you are at least 18 or have parental consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. SMS Messaging & A2P 10DLC Consent

The Underwater Adventure Seekers Foundation may send recurring automated SMS text messages to the mobile number you provide when you opt in. These messages are sent through a registered A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) campaign in compliance with U.S. mobile carrier requirements.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You can expect periodic reminders, event notices, and mission updates. Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Opt-in consent: By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box (or texting a join keyword to our short code/long code), you explicitly consent to receive recurring SMS messages from the UAS Divers Foundation at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or donation.

Opt-out: You may cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will confirm your opt-out with a final message. After opting out you may receive one final confirmation text and will not receive further recurring messages.

Help: For support, reply HELP to any message or email info@uasdiversfoundation.org. If you have issues receiving messages after opting back in, contact your mobile carrier, as carrier filtering may affect delivery.

Carriers & liability: Messages are delivered through participating U.S. wireless carriers. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier filtering, network issues, or incorrect phone numbers. You are responsible for keeping your mobile number current and for any charges imposed by your carrier.

Privacy: Your mobile number and message content are handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and are never sold. They are shared only with our SMS provider and carriers as needed to deliver messages and maintain A2P 10DLC compliance.
